Great deceptively small Mexican bar in the South Preston. . Great service from the moment we walked in. Delicious food and great cocktails all in a vibrant yet chilled atmosphere. Love the music in the background- not too loud which allowed for easy conversation.

Bar Mexico is such a vibe! Big open space, buzzing music, and the service is honestly next level. Shoutout to Dan and Louie – absolute legends who made us feel so welcome and looked after all night. The food? Jalapeño poppers full of melty cheese, the best quesadilla we’ve ever had, and tacos that are proper authentic. Thursday nights are insane too – $5 tacos and $10 margaritas, the perfect excuse for a full-on fiesta with mates. Can’t recommend this place enough – we’ll definitely be back!

Bar Mexico Preston is always a treat! The food is full of flavour, and their tequila and mezcal selection is incredible, so many great options. Taco + Tequila Thursday is excellent value, and the staff are friendly and welcoming. Always a great vibe, day or night. A true local gem!

Bar Mexico was great fun for our large group. The food was delicious, the selection of drinks had Aussie stuff and some Mexican style specialities. Pool tables down the back, decent toilets, a mezzanine for the elite and outdoor chilling area for people watching. Bar Mexico is far enough up High Street to not feel too grimy like many other local spots.

Outstanding venue to have a few drinks with friends. The decor and atmosphere in here are second to none. Beautiful space to relax. Extremely helpful and friendly staff. This large bar and restaurant used to be a sort of mixed cuisine restaurant. Now with the new owners, it's pure Mexican!! And the best Mexican I've had for a long time. We had Nachos and Tacos. Tasted very good. Take note: they have a live Margarita machine constantly churning the alluring white Ice. Very tempting. Ready to go.

Bar Mexico Preston is a fantastic spot for great food and drinks. I had the tacos and jalapeño poppers, and both were absolutely delicious, while my friend ordered the nachos which were just as impressive. The cocktails were really tasty and well made, and the service was incredible — friendly, attentive, and welcoming Would absolutely recommend!

Bar Mexico was okay overall. The music was lively and created a great vibe, but it was a bit too loud for proper conversation. The spicy margarita was amazing — definitely the highlight of the night! Food portions were decent, but for the price, I expected a bit more in terms of flavour and value. A fun spot for drinks and a night out, but maybe not the best pick for a relaxed dinner.

Awesome vibes & good Mexican food. Lot of vegetarian & vegan options. Mathew attended us & he was prompt & suggested good options. They got dj’s on friday & sat evenings. I recommend this place for a group outings.
